Who better to celebrate 50 years of great brand advertising than Taylor Brand Group. On Friday, October 2, we opened our doors to showcase our collection of Volkswagen ads dating back to 1959 when the incomparable “Think small” campaign, named the best ad campaign of the 20th century by Ad Age, launched in the U.S.
Our First Friday event included an array of VW memorabilia, TV spots and thanks to Autohaus, a vintage Beetle and a 2009 CC. WGAL’s coverage of our event (thanks Meredith) certainly helped spread the word and we always appreciate the added publicity.
The highlight? Getting a call from the COO of Volkswagen to thank us for the exhibition. Definitely says something about how closely they pay attention to who’s saying what about VW.
