Lancaster — David Taylor recently won a third place award for his Central Penn Business Journal column “Analysis: Harley at crossroads on branding highway” in the Keystone Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists’ 2010 Spotlight Awards contest.
Taylor’s entry was part of a package entered by the Journal in the Business and Labor Story category featuring the lead story, “The Road Ahead” by CPBJ’s David Dagan. The story and column appeared in the July 31, 2009 issue.
Taylor’s column examined Harley’s branding challenges: “It seems fairly certain that Boomers will continue to buy the big bikes until their knee replacements make it impossible to hold them up at traffic lights. But how Harley chooses to develop the brand for Gen Y and younger markets will determine their success in next 20 years.” To read the full column, click: https://www.taylorbrandgroup.com/news_and_views-detail.asp?NID=54
The award-winning entry competed with non-daily newspapers throughout Pennsylvania.
